  • Quick Phonics Screener: She read up to Task 3 CVCC and CCVC (b) In Text with the score of 8/10. She struggled with the next task Silent E CVC-E.
  •  Oral Word Reading: 42/50; Oral Fluency: Number of Words: 75; Number of Errors: Mispronouncing a word: 5 Repeating a word: 2 ; Oral Fluency: 55 WCPM; Reading Level: Instructional
  •  Dolch Word List: First Grade Word List: 38/40 ; Second Grade List: 38/46

Running Words, Text Level I; Error Rate- 1:13 Instructional Level; Accuracy 92%; Self-Correction Rate (SC)- 1:4 meaning Student A corrects once for every 4 errors.
 Prepared an Oral Reading Fluency Graph.

  • Sent home a Parent Report on child’s reading.
  • Administer Running Record: Mom’s Birthday- 97 Words 
Running Words, Level I; Error Rate 1:16- Instructional Level; Accuracy 93%, Self-Correction Rate (SC)- 1:4 meaning Student A corrects once for every 4 errors.
Analysis: Student A needs Guided Reading Instruction; requires support from teacher.

  • Treasures on the Beach: 64 WCPM
  • Reading the Sunday Comics: 67 WCPM
Her Oral Reading Fluency using Voyager Passport Fluency Assessments reflects a better fluency rate.  Her decoding skill of sight words is getting more automatic.  Hopefully, she could pushed it to 70 WCPM before the year ends.
